Island Paradise Day 30 of 30 Paintings In 30 Days

Island Paradise Day 30 of 30 Paintings In 30 Days
Island Paradise, 9×12 alcohol ink painting on Yupo paper. SOLD!

Well, I made it through the entire challenge. I am off to clean my house. Back to reality! At least I have this island paradise painting to remind me that warm, vacation spots exist. I’m going to pretend I am there sipping umbrella drinks while I fold laundry today.

I was folding some laundry last night and found Christmas socks at the bottom of the basket. Now you know how long it has been since I managed to get everything folded and put away!

This is my third time doing the 30 in 30 painting challenge. I think it was easier this time than it has been in the past, but also maybe a little less exciting. I’m not sure why. I’m still thinking about that. I think I enjoyed not having a theme. I liked the freedom to switch gears. I like more pieces than I usually do at the end of the challenge too. Maybe that is because I wasn’t trying to force myself to paint something I’d lost interest in. That may have also diminished the pressure, but also the excitement. I’ll have to think about that for a while.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my paintings. Thank you for following along!
