I have it on good authority that the Schnoodle is the most beautiful and smartest dog on the planet. This one is named Gracie. I am a little cranky because I think I could have done better on her portrait. I was having a small problem painting her because she looks exactly like my old dog Abe. Seriously, they could have been twins. That hair! I used to get Abe shaved down to a baldy-dog about twice a year because his hair never stopped growing. It would just grow FOREVER. I have a feeling Gracie is the same way. Although, she looks better groomed than Abe ever did. I don’t know what kind of “oodle” Abe was. We though he was a terri-poo. Then I thought maybe he was a cock-a-poo. Now I am confident he was a Schnoodle…the most beautiful and smartest dog on the planet. They are like people trapped in dog bodies.
Gracie’s mom blogs over at The Neurotic Parent. If you have kids planning to go to college someday, you want to check out this blog. It is hilarious. It’s all about the college admissions process. Tiny-Small is three and every time I read a blog post from The Neurotic Parent it cracks me up. I will be well prepared, with a sense of humor, for my daughter’s future!
We are on day 21 of the painting challenge. I am holding. I see the finish line. I don’t want to start cheering too early because then I might jinx myself and not get the last nine paintings done. I’m too close to give up now, right? It’s time to buckle down and keep my eye on the prize. The prize is feeling awesome and maybe eating some cake. I will happily bake a cake to celebrate even the smallest victories!
Don’t forget to visit the 30 in 30 challenge to give the other artists a compliment on their painting efforts. There is a variety of mediums and subjects on display. It’s pretty inspiring.
