Painting Giveaway Extravaganza Starts Right Now!

The Painting Giveaway Extravaganza starts right now! I am cheering from home at this very moment so feel free to play along and cheer right along with me. Go ahead. You know you want to (besides nobody is watching, right?). Yay!!! Let’s do some happy dancing.

Here is the painting I am giving away. It is an 11×15 watercolor and acrylic on watercolor paper. This painting is The Owl.

After I painted the owl I started thinking about how cool it would be if this giveaway had a surprise and so that’s when I painted this (also an 11×15 watercolor and acrylic on watercolor paper): The Hummingbirds.

So guess what? Two people are going to receive an original, signed painting! It’s a double giveaway. Yay!

  1. Woo hoo!!! My heart is dancing, but I am nursing a sleeping babe so I can’t let my joy out just yet. I’m SO excited about this giveaway!! I love both paintings, but am really drawn to The Owl. Either painting would surely brighten up a home!

  2. Adam Levine is breaking my heart so it’s pretty clear that I and I alone deserve to win one of these! Pick me! I never win anything so I should win. You can’t argue with my logic!

  3. While I’m not particularly witty (or charming, for that matter), I am certain that either of your lovely pieces of art would enhance my home (and my social skills) immensely! What a wonderful giveaway – and good luck to all!

    1. I wish I could figure out a “legal” way to do contests outside of the U.S. – I will keep looking into it!

  4. Learning late in life that you can’t win the raffle if you don’t enter I’m a late blossoming (now that’s for an understatement) partaker in contests. So far the first time was the only time I won, it’s amazing how that works. Keeping my fingers crossed (liar, you’re typing and will continue to type the rest of the afternoon) don’t pay attention to that little devil venting in the brackets, I’m zooming in on number #1 and #2 and trust WordPress doesn’t make random choices, but is looking for the words “Gouda Cheese”.There you go, may the best (and not the most stinky) cheese win.

    1. I cannot read this without wanting to eat Gouda…yum! Glad I am not the only one with a devil that types in the brackets!

  5. I literally JUST told someone 30 minutes ago how I was contemplating doing an owl theme in my kitchen… and then I saw this. Of course the Hummingbirds would kick butt somewhere in my apartment too. Crossing fingers.

  6. These are just wonderful! Like everyone else, I really, REALLY want to win! 🙂 but I think perhaps since I got your wonderful prompt in the secreat subject swap that you can see we are truly kindred spirits, and that the bears and I would Love to give a happy home to your art work. I especially love the hummingbirds!

  7. It is clear to that I should be the winner since I worship at the alter of your Marvelous creativity!! (You know I do!)
My condolences to the non winners 😉

  8. I won’t be able to sleep now. I totally want the hummingbirds (no offense to owls, but they always act so superior and such). Beautiful work!!

  9. i just have to say this: the hummingbirds and the poppies are very interesting — given the wings / infinity symbol and today’s veteran’s day / flanders field (poppies) motif. girl, you’re more … sentient than you know, i’ll bet.

    1. I was really struck by your comment and how right you were about the images! I hadn’t thought much about it.

  10. Love them both…..the hummingbirds remind me of the little guys who migrate through in the winter

    1. We have Hummingbirds here for most of the year. I love to watch them fly around and fight over the sugar water. They are territorial little guys!

  11. I think it would be totally awesome if I won anything. My mother loves humming birds, she see them as angels of sorts and if I actually won and it was with a humming bird in it I would have to give it to her. I think owls are beautiful and love images of them (don’t want an actual one though LOL) so I’d be keeping that one! 😉

That said, I also have to tell you one other thing … I’ve nominated you for the Sunshine Award! I love to read here and look at your beautiful artwork! The details are on my blog today, while this award promotes readership it can be a bit like chain mail, so it’s cool if you don’t want to “accept” it. 🙂

    1. Thank you so much for nominating me for the sunshine award. That had made me very happy! Sometimes in the near future I will have prints for sale in my etsy shop…I also do requests! I love the idea of hummingbirds as angels…I can totally see that.

  12. How wonderful! I love birds, any birds, even crows, which I cared for during my time in Sri Lanka. I have a gorgeous crow painting, among others including a new collection from Mexico. But owls….I have a small collection, dating back at least 35 years. Yes, I love owls (in Singhalese: bacamuna). I love both of your paintings….but I am not lucky….can’t remember winning anything, not even bingo! So its OK…..just hope they will love the paintings!

    1. That means you’re going to win this one, Mummy! I’m rooting for YOU! (And I was thinking about your crows the other day and decided that I’m doing a series of paintings/oil pastel drawings based on collective nouns. “A Murder of Crows” and “An Unkindness of Ravens” are the first two I see in my head.) Come on WordPress, pick Marty for the owl! xoxoxo

    2. I would love to see your collection. I have a fascination with them. It all started the night one ran into the back door of my Grandmothers house when I was a kid.

  13. It’s so awesome that you’re giving away pieces of your own art! I’m still amazed that you find the time to paint with that busy girl running around. Nap time is awesome, isn’t it?

I only want to win on one condition: Promise me that you’ll lick the back of the canvas. Or at least chew on a Q-tip and send that too. Or a piece of hair.

I know that sounds a little creepy, but it’s not. I’m just collecting samples of DNA from people with artistic talent in the hopes that someday I can put together a serum to inject into myself so that I can become a “super artist”. Or at least draw a stick figure and not have it come out crooked.
Sorry. That was just my creepy way of complimenting your talent. You shouldn’t really send those things.
    Although, that would be funny…

    1. There will be no licking the paintings…haha! That would ruin the acid free paper. Yes, nap time is the best. I want to cry though because she is starting to outgrow them. When will I paint? …gah!

    1. It’s out of my hands…and I am so glad for that! I could never choose. I’d have to paint something for everyone.
