It’s Friday. I know you know this. I’m just trying to figure out how the week flew by so fast. It’s been a blur of diapers, fences, writing, painting, and the dreaded cleaning and, yet, I somehow got an amazing amount of work done this week.
We got a fence put in to keep our dogs in and the “mean dogs” (as Tiny-Small calls them) out. We couldn’t fence the entire yard, but at least Tiny-Small will have a safe place to play. We weren’t thrilled with chain link, but the fence expert said with our terrain it would be the best option. At least we can see through it. Jim said he noticed bear poop in the back yard so there is also THAT!
I started an art blog. You can check that out here if you are into that sort of thing:
I wrote my first guest post ever for Family Mobile Apps here:
I got my medical test results back and appear to be as healthy as an ox. I think I may have had a virus a few weeks ago that lasted for about a month. I thought it was just me until I noticed Tiny-Small coming down with similar symptoms. Then Jim caught it too. He was dizzy and having hot flashes just like I had been (guess we can safely rule out early onset menopause). Apparently, there was something going around in the hospital Jim works in. Several people complained about similar symptoms and said they, too, had felt lousy for about a month. I don’t think we will ever know what it was, but luckily we all seem to be feeling better now.
I feel really grateful to feel so healthy and to have energy again. It’s so true when people say to guard your health because when you don’t feel well it makes every other daily activity so much more difficult. I am so grateful to have been able to complete so many projects this week. I feel very positive and excited about all of the new things happening in the future. There is something about being ill and then being healthy, that energizes you and makes you feel like you have a new lease on life. A fresh start.
A friend of mine from high school is a cancer survivor. She’s amazing. Anyway, she keeps a daily gratitude diary on Facebook so all of us get to share in her joy each day. Sometimes she has big news, but most of the time it is the little things she notices that get my attention and remind me to be grateful for all of the good things I have in my life. She is inspiring and her daily posts are a little shot of sunshine for me each day. I am so grateful that she is cancer free and sharing her positive energy with anyone willing to accept it.
The people who read and comment on my blog are also little rays of sunshine in my day. I want to thank a few people here who have been commenting on my posts for months now. Kerri, Marianne, Alison and of course, Judy. If it weren’t for you guys commenting I probably would have given up on my blog by now. I really appreciate you guys!
Another person I want to thank is a fellow blogger. Her name is Alex and she writes at Late Enough (because early is never good). She has answered my many questions about blogging and offered her support. Also, she makes me laugh. Most of her blogs are hilarious. Sometimes she makes you think too like when she bravely takes on topics such as gun control.
I am also grateful for the following blogs because they either make me laugh, make me think, or just keep me sane. I hope you will check them out:
I’m declaring this “Gratitude Friday” and I want to know, what is it that you are grateful for today?
