This tile is 4.25 inches x 4.25 inches.

I painted this tile using alcohol inks. The tree is one of my favorite themes to explore. The tile is sealed with a UV resistant gloss finish. It comes with a wooden stand to display it with. If you’d like to see a few more of my art tiles you can see some here in my Etsy Shop.

We just drove to California and back. Between all of the traffic, the people, and the non-stop, busy, go-go-go way of life in California I am very grateful to be back in my small town. Sometimes I grumble about the slow pace of life here and the lack of things to do, but after a visit to the “big city” I really appreciate the time and space I have here to think and have solitude. I have gratitude for where I live today.

What are you feeling especially grateful for right now?

  1. This is mysterious and profound. I love how the tile gives a starkly beautiful view of the inner life, the heart and soul of a tree and its umbilical link with Mother Earth. Within is a vibrant and powerful dynamic that is hidden from ordinary eyes. You have exposed it with reverence and deep understanding and empathy. I am excited to look at your tree-themed art. I think of trees as my soul mates. Power to your art Lillian!

  2. I think I’m going to be doing my holiday shopping with you this year. The people in my life could use some beautiful things, and you’ve got those! I too am grateful for our little family and our “small town” life. It’s bigger than yours, but it’s small compared to where we came from and where all of our family is (SoCal).

  3. You do such beautiful work. I’ve worked with the alcohol inks on tile before but am nowhere near as talented at it as you are! I just reopened my Etsy shop and that’s about all I’ve done. I need to get to work!

  4. Oh my gosh that’s just gorgeous! I just stumbled across your blog by accident and am so glad I did. Your artwork is beautiful and very inspiring!
